More About Bella Michaels
I am a sports journalism graduate student at DePaul University, where I received my bachelor’s degree in journalism and broadcast in 2020. I most recently covered the 2020 All-Star Weekend in Chicago, where I interviewed Rising-Stars like Luka Doncic, Trae Young, Zion Williamson and Ja Morant. Prior to that, I freelanced as a production assistant at beIN Sports Miami. I also interned at Chicago Tribune’s Hoy where I co-hosted the 90 Minutes’ 2018 World Cup Facebook Live program, created content for social media and conducted interviews with fans. I was a guest on episode 43: parts 1 and 2 of Laurence Holmes’s podcast ‘House of L.’ I host my own show called “Talk Soccer to Me” on Radio DePaul Sports, where I also do play-by-play and color analysis for the DePaul Men’s’ Basketball and soccer games. I am a sports reporter for Good Day DePaul, where I shoot, edit, and create feature and sports news packages for the program, and I am a contributing writer to The DePaulia. Beyond my strong passion for singing and music, I am fluent in four languages: English, Assyrian, Spanish and Italian. I can expand cultural audiences at any company and report in foreign languages as a socially responsible member of the media.
